Who doesn't have a trip like this on their list? Paris, then the Swiss Alps, then Venice, then Rome, all in one adventure. I got to plan this one for a mother and daughter recently and it's one of my favorite itineraries I've built.
Here's a quick overview of where they went:
They started in Paris, the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame Cathedral, a cruise along the Seine, all the classics that make Paris feel like Paris. Then it was on to Lucerne, and the pace completely shifts there, Mount Pilatus, a panoramic gondola ride, Lake Lucerne, the Alps in the background.
From there, Venice. Gondola ride, getting lost in the alleys near St. Mark's Square, the whole thing. And then Rome to close it out, the Colosseum, the Vatican, a trip to Pompei, and the Trevi Fountain.
They came home and sent me this, and it made my whole week:
