Your personal definition of luxury (it’s probably not what you think)

Luxury travel isn’t about how much you spend. It’s about where you choose to spend it.

Maybe luxury to you is an incredible ocean view from your balcony. Maybe it’s butler service that puts the whole trip over the top. Everyone’s version looks different, and that’s exactly the point. The sweet spot is saving on the things that don’t matter as much to you, so you can splurge on the things that do.

How this actually plays out

I see this with my clients constantly. One group saved nearly $300 per person on their upcoming girls’ trip by bundling flights and hotel. They took that savings and upgraded to a club level room instead. Now they’ve got access to a private beach, premium drinks, and VIP service, without blowing the budget to get there.

Another family traveling in Belize took a different approach. They booked the more affordable water taxi to San Pedro so they could soak in the views along the way, then spent a little extra on a quick flight back to cut down the long transit time to the airport. Save where it doesn’t matter, spend where it does.

Know your own luxury before you plan the trip

The key is knowing what brings you joy, what stresses you out, and where you actually want to invest on vacation. Once you know that, you can save with confidence in some areas and splurge guilt free in others. Nobody has to feel bad about either one.

Ready to find your version of that balance? I’d love to help you design a trip that feels luxurious in all the right places, without the stress of figuring it all out yourself.
